What is PT1 or Form PT1?


PT One, PT1, or Form PT1 is a form prescribed under the Property Tax Act of 1958. In fact, it is in the form of a register. The register is prepared from a survey of properties by the Excise and Taxation Department of the government of Punjab. When you need a PT1, you get a copy prepared from this register.

A PT1 identifies a property by a unique number allotted to the property during the survey. Therefore, you need Form PT1 when interacting with an organization which requires the identification and location of a property. Some situations where you need a PT1 are given below:

1. The SNGPL, SSGPL, and WAPDA, while installing a meter at a property, use the PT1 to identify and locate the property; and
2. Banks use the PT1 to identify and locate a property that will be mortgaged.

On a PT1, you can find the property number to identify the property, the name of the owner, the name of the tenant, the area of the property, and the annual rental value of the property, among other things.

    1. only Pt-1 paper is not enough , and Yes only Pt-1 paper to Registry is banned but if u have Pt-1 with Registry then its all good.

  8. Is it compulsory to get PT1 certificate updated to new owner once old house is bought? And how much it cost please? Jab koi purana ghar buy karay aur PT1 pichlay owner k naam ho tu new owner ko PT1 certificate update karwana chahiye k nahi? Agher update karwa lay to kya faida ho ga? Can someone please tell me legal view. Cheers.

    1. if u r buying propertu then u must transfer all documets to ur name for ur safety. Koyi zada kharcha nahi hey just take ur registry MUSADAKA COPY with id card copy and write application for transfering owernership to ur name.

  10. Greetings to all. Well, what is a PT-D Form, from where and how to get it? I went for registry on PT-1 form as my property falls in red zone area where Patwari doesn't have my property record in patwar khana and PT-1 is considered authentic but they say that I need a PT-D form. please reply at aurangzaibk@gmail.com.
